Future Women in Business Fall Conference

The College of Business at ILLINOIS is excited to bring young women in high school who are thinking about a future in business together with many of the College’s current students and alumnae. This event is aimed at exposing students to the vast number of career and leadership opportunities available to graduates with a business degree. Through a variety of small group sessions and roundtable discussions, attendees will have the chance to delve deeper into the diverse avenues possible for graduates of the College of Business at ILLINOIS.
Small group sessions will be co-facilitated by current students and young alumnae from great companies like Google, PwC, Target, and many more to learn about the different paths provided with majors in Accountancy, Finance, and Business Administration.
Attire for the event is business casual.
At 10:30 AM, College of Business admissions staff will have a presentation for any parent who would like to learn more about the admissions process. The presentation will be held in the Orange & Blue room on the first floor of the Illini Center. It will last between 45 and 60 minutes allowing parents plenty of time to explore downtown Chicago until the event concludes at 2:30 PM.

The Business Experience: A Welcome for Admitted Students

Business Instructional Facility – 515 East Gregory Drive, Champaign
The Business Experience is a fantastic opportunity for students admitted to the ILLINOIS College of Business to experience all that the College has to offer. The day will begin with an optional tour of the Business Instructional Facility, the Margolis Market Information Lab, the Ikenberry Commons Residence Hall complex, and the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC).
At 1:00 PM the formal program will begin. In small groups led by current Business students, families will move throughout the classrooms in the Business Instructional Facility to engage with faculty from Accountancy, Business Administration, and Finance. The program will also include sessions with academic advisors, staff from Business Career Services, information on Study Abroad, and a conversation with the Deans of the College of Business. Admitted students will receive an email and postcard invitation to the event with the necessary information about registration.
