Biography

Udatta Palekar is an Emeritus associate professor of business administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Palekar joined Illinois in 1986, and in addition to his professorship responsibilities, he served as director of the Supply Chain Management Program for 14 years. He focuses his research on supply chain modeling, manufacturing planning, optimization, pricing, and distribution channels. Palekar received his BE in production engineering from Bombay University in 1982, his MS in industrial engineering from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in 1985, and his PhD in industrial engineering from SUNY-Buffalo in 1986.
