Biography

Hadi Salehi Esfahani is a professor of economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He began his career at Illinois in 1984 as an assistant professor of economics. He is also a professor of business administration and director of the Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. He has been on the List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent in 22 different academic years. Esfahani, who also serves as editor-in-chief of the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, a position he has held since 2006, received his PhD in economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1984.
