David Molitor

Assistant Professor of Finance

Biographical Sketch

David Molitor is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Research Associate at the Center for Business and Public Policy, and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Professor Molitor studies the economics of health care delivery in the United States, with a particular emphasis on physician behavior, regional disparities in health care, and technology diffusion. Prior to coming to the University of Illinois in 2013, Dr. Molitor was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Applied Economic Policy at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of Minnesota.
