Jenna Mehalic received the 2010 Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA) Student Award this year. The FSA’s mission is to promote separate accreditation for graduate accounting programs. The FSA Student Award is given annually to an outstanding Master of Accountancy student.
Mehalic was presented with the award by Ira Solomon, professor of accountancy and department head. Mehalic said she was surprised and honored by the award. After receiving a Master’s in Accountancy this spring, she will begin working in the Financial Operations and Compliance at State Farm Insurance’s Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, IL, where she previously interned for two summers.
