Allen Poteshman, an associate professor of finance and James F. Towey faculty fellow
in the College of Business at the University of Illinois, has won the 2006 Geewax, Terker, and Company Prize for Investment Research working paper.
Poteshman’s paper, “Demand-Based Option Pricing,” is co-authored with Lasse Pedersen and Nicolae Garleanu, in the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
The awards are given annually, as part of the Rodney L. White Center, associated with the Wharton School of Business. Founded in 1969, the Center sponsors a wide range of financial research and publishes a working paper series and a reprint series.
The winning paper and prize of $10,000 was announced in December in Philadelphia.
