Because of a generous grant from BP, the Department of Business Administration will be awarding up to two doctoral fellowships designed to help outstanding students studying strategic management complete their dissertation proposals in a timely fashion. The fellowship frees the students from obligations in the summer and allows them devote full-time to complete their dissertation proposals.
The $5,000 fellowship provides two months summer stipend of $3,500, a full waiver of tuition, and $1,500 research support fund. The research support fund may be used for conference travel, data collection, and other research-related activities.
According to BA department head Huseyin Leblebici, Professor Joe Mahoney and Lecturer Kevin Fertig were instrumental in obtaining the funding.
