Paper Acceptance – Matt Stern

Matt Stern’s paper “The Effects of Accounting Standard Precision, Auditor Task Expertise, and Judgment Frameworks on Audit Firm Litigation Exposure” with Jon Grenier (former Illinois PhD student now at Miami University) and Brad Pomeroy (former Illinois faculty member now at University of Waterloo) is forthcoming in Contemporary Accounting Research. Their paper provides theory and empirical evidence about how auditor expertise and judgment frameworks can mitigate auditor’s litigation risk.
