Global Brigades – Panama

The ILLINOIS College of Business Global Brigades chapter traveled to Panama over the 2013-2014 winter break. During their stay in rural Panama, the business students developed and led financial literacy workshops for community members in Guacuco Guna, and also consulted directly with entrepreneurs hoping to expand their businesses.


Student Product Design Research – India

Professor Madhu Viswanathan teaches a yearlong course on sustainable product development for subsistence marketplaces. In this multidisciplinary course, business, design, and engineering students complete projects for diverse clients who have an interest in creating solutions for people living close to poverty. Each year, Professor Madhu takes students on a two-week field research trip to India. Here is where students transform into responsive designers.


Global Consulting Program – South Africa

Global Consulting Program provides Illinois MBA students with an opportunity to engage consulting projects with companies in emerging markets, specifically Brazil, China, India, and South Africa. This exclusive opportunity complements theoretical concepts learned in the classroom and gives students real-world experience. Students will work remotely with an international client and travel to the designated country to meet with and present to the client.
