Mentoring

Every semester, Finance Club conducts Mock Trading Sessions in the High Schools in and around campus. These sessions are like in-class simulations of the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The participation in Trading Sessions counts towards a service event.To be able to volunteer, you have to be a member of the Finance Club.

UISES

UISES (University of Illinois Securities Exchange Simulation) is a brokerage program through which you can build a portfolio from a 1 million fake dollars.

In order to participate, you must be a paid Finance Club member for this semester.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in trading and complete Professional/Service event towards Active Membership.

UISES is a brokerage program through which you can build a portfolio from one million fake dollars. The competition runs from February 6th to April 13th. The six highest rates of return on April 13th will win prizes (the 1st win $100 gift card!!!). The last day to sign up is March 5th, and you must have at least 15 trades by this date in order to be considered for prizes and for UISES to count as a professional/social point towards active membership. What is the UISES website?

Where can I check my performance compared to other Finance Club members?
An updated ranking is posted on this webpage once per week.
When is the first day I can start trading?
Once a registration form has been filled out and turned in, there is usually a 1-2 day processing time, you will receive e-mail notification once your account is active.
Will I be able to trade International or currencies?
Yes, we will include the US $, Canadian $, Euros, and Pounds. Trading internationally is more fun, challenging, and a great way to test your ability as an investor.
Can I have more than one account?
Every Finance Club member is entitled to one account. An additional account will cost $15 extra.
If I am currently enrolled in Fin 300, can I use my class UISES account for this competition?
No, unfortunately you must set up a separate account
