Hello everyone! First off, thank you for visiting Finance Club's website! My name is Rajiv Kamaria, and I am currently a junior majoring in finance and accounting. This is my third semester in Finance Club, and my first as a your President. As president, I will be overseeing the executive board and helping to coordinate various internal and external activities and initiatives. Finance Club is the premiere business organization campus and an excellent opportunity to experience the professional world while on campus. I am extremely excited for Finance Club’s upcoming semester. If you have any suggestions or questions regarding Finance Club or are interested in joining, please feel free to contact me. President Responsibilities - The President is the primary visionary for the organization and the Chairman of the Finance Club Executive Board. He/she helps other officers and the organization as a whole grow in terms of quantity and quality. The President oversees successful execution of all of the club’s programming. He/she is the official spokesperson for the club and serves as a member of the CBA Council of Presidents. The President runs all Executive Board and general member meetings. He/she also registers the club with the university each semester, organizes Quad Day and Commerce Quad Day in the fall, and helps to arrange a Career Focus Session with Business Career Services.

Alan Fredian

External Vice President

Hello, my name is Alan Fredian, and I am a Sophomore majoring in Accounting and Finance. I am from Western Springs, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago. This will be my third semester in Finance Club and my first as an executive board member. As External Vice President I will be doing my best to ensure that the best companies are coming down to Champaign to present for you. I am really looking forward to this semester, and please feel free to email me with any questions or if you would like to get involved in the Market Update Committee.

External Vice President Responsibilities - The External VP is responsible for all company and speaker recruitment. He/she researches Finance and other related companies/divisions and contacts these companies concerning speaking for the Finance Club. The External VP is the bridge between the club and the speakers, taking any company requests; confirming presentation dates, times, and locations; and writing thank-you letters following presentations. He/she works with the Webmaster to develop a database to store contact information.

Daniel Gaeta

Internal Vice President

Hello, My name is Daniel Gaeta and I am currently a sophomore in the College of Business and pursuing a degree in Finance with a concentration in Investment banking. As Internal Vice President, I will be coordinating the Alumni Relations committee, philanthropy events and organizing our annual trip to Chicago this spring. I encourage innovation and creativity from all members, with that being said feel free to reach out to me if you have any ideas on how we can add value to our organization or university as whole.

Internal Vice President Responsibilities - The Internal Vice President works on a committee with other undergraduates organizing the Spring Career Fair. He/she organizes at least one field trip each semester. The Internal VP also leads the Alumni Relations Committee, a committee designed to keep the club in contact with Finance Club Alumni. He/she finally promotes the club through organizing on campus activities such as philanthropy, charity, or other events.

Lexa Pezzati

Treasurer

Hello, my name is Lexa Pezzati. I am a sophomore majoring in Finance with a focus in Accounting. I am from the western suburbs of Chicago. This is my third semester in Finance Club, and the first as Treasurer. I am thrilled to get to know everyone in the club, as well as establish a good relationship between the executives and Finance Club members. I will ensure to regulate the budget and monetary policies efficiently, and am well prepared to keep all other finances well organized. If you ever need to reach me or have any questions/concerns I am easily accessible, and will gladly help with any questions that may arise.

Treasurer Responsibilities - The Treasurer is responsible for all club income and expenses, including collection of dues and club operating expenses. He/she draws up a budget for the year and maintains coherence to the budget. The Treasurer must take care of a club and University checking account. He/she will also attend a treasurer's workshop explaining University policies and other important account information (i.e. applying for SORF funds.)

Hi, my name is Spencer Scott, and I am from San Francisco, California. I am a junior in Accounting. I’ve been a member of Finance Club for four semesters. Finance Club is a great way to get information on a wide range of companies and a great place to meet enthusiastic students. As secretary of Finance Club, I keep track of club attendance and edit the club newsletter. I look forward to a great first year as Secretary of Finance Club and am excited to contribute to a great student organization. Secretary Responsibilities - The Secretary creates a biweekly newsletter outlining current and future Finance Club activities, to be distributed at general meetings. He/she is responsible for sending intelligent, well-written, informative emails to the Webmaster to be sent to the entire club. The secretary works with the webmaster to develop a membership database and then enters all member information into that database. He/she sets out at each meeting a sign-in sheet for people who would like to be added to the Finance Club email list.

Han He

Public Relations Vice President

Hi, my name is Han He, and I am a Sophomore majoring Finance. I am from Chongqing, one of the largest cities in Southwest of China. This is my third semester in the Finance Club, and my first term as a member of the executive board. As the Public Relations Vice President, I pledge to advertise the Finance Club as well as I can. For my career, I am pursuing Investment Banking, and it's my pleasure to meet all of you who have the similar career plan. I also like playing billiards and Ping Pong a lot, and I used to be a professional Ping Pong player. Hope I can see you all in the Finance Club!

Public Relations Vice President Responsibilities - As a member of the executive board, public relations vice president publicizes all corporate presentations and other organizational activities taking place through overhead projections, flyers, newspaper ads, chalking the quad, and updating the club’s bulletin board that’s displayed in Wohlers Hall. Communication is a key component to being the public relations vice president; along with understanding others expectations and ideas. Having the ability to translate those ideas into the marketplace is also a necessary task of the public relations vice president.

Hello, my name is Amer Ahmed. I am a junior majoring in Economics and History. I grew up in the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale and went to Hinsdale Central High School. This is my first term on Executive Board. I've enjoyed being a member of Finance Club because it has introduced me to like-minded students and potential career paths. During this term, I'll be executing the resume book and professional events like resume critiques and mock interviews.

Job Placement Vice President Responsibilities - The Job Placement VP is responsible for developing the Finance Club Resume Book. He/she must keep an updated list of company contacts to which the Resume Books can be sent. The Job Placement VP also arranges office visits for selected candidates in the Finance Club’s Student Futures Program.

Mengyu Sun

Mentoring Vice President

Hi, I am Mengyu Sun, a Junior in Finance and Accountancy, currently also the Mentoring Vice President of the Finance Club. As the Mentoring Vice President of the Finance Club, I conduct Mock Trading Sessions in High Schools in and around campus and recruit volunteers to mentor the high school students in these sessions. In addition to that, I also provide UISES mock stock trading competition to all the college students who are interested in trading and investment.

Mentoring Vice President Responsibilities - The Mentoring VP is responsible for coordinating visits to local area high schools and conducting mock trading sessions. Duties include contacting local area high schools, scheduling, and conducting the trade sessions themselves (with assistance from other Finance Club members). The Mentoring VP finally arranges Finance Club member participation in the online trading simulation UISES, University of Illinois Securities Exchange Simulation.

Billy Krogstad

Social Vice President

Hi, my name is Billy Krogstad and I am from Palatine, Illinois. Currently, I am a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Marketing. This is my first time being on the Executive Board and I am excited for this year. I will do my best to incorporate more social events this year, and am even trying to plan multi-organizational activities. I am open to hearing what you guys want to do this year and would to make the Finance Club have more social events. I look forward to meeting all of you and please feel free to contact me any time.

Social Vice President Responsibilities - The Social VP organizes and coordinates at least three social functions for Finance Club members each semester. He/she also arranges an etiquette dinner each semester. The Social VP orders food and drinks for all general and Executive Board meetings and brings napkins, appropriate utensils, and plates. He/she finally books all dinner reservations with visiting corporate speakers and representatives.

Webmaster

Hi, my name is Zuojun Xu, and I am a sophomore majoring mathemetics. I come from Shanghai, China. This is my first semester being a member of the executive board. As the Webmaster, I will keep updating the website of our club and send the weekly newletters. I love finance and want to pursue a career in investment banks. I also like playing pingpong and billiard very much. I am glad to make friends with all of you!

Webmaster Responsibilities - The Webmaster updates the Finance Club website in a timely fashion for convenient usage. He/she maintains the club’s email list and sends the biweekly mass emails written by the Secretary. The Webmaster forwards any email inquiries to the appropriate officers. He/she also works with other Executive Board members to create necessary databases for member information, company contacts and speakers, etc.
