EDUCATION
I graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School in 1983. I attended Parkland College part-time, with a concentration in Business. In the near future I plan to return and complete my Associates degree.

EXPERIENCE
After high school, I worked as a waitress and helped my parents with their business until I joined the United States Navy in 1985. While in the Navy I worked for the Base Security Office as a receptionist, secretary, gate security guard, base police dispatcher and for the Master-at-Arms. After my tour of duty I then took on the job of domestic engineer until I began working for the College of Business in 1998.

BACKGROUND
I live in a small town just east of Urbana and have lived there all of my life. What is pretty ironic is that I now live in the same home that I grew up in.

STUDENTS
Although I do not always work directly with students, I get the greatest pleasure watching them walk across the stage to receive their diploma, knowing that in some small way I may have aided some of them with this important part of their life.

MOVIES
I enjoy watching classic movies, especially the comedies that starred Abbott & Costello, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, etc... I am a big fan of John Wayne movies, especially his westerns. McLintock is my favorite “Duke” movie. I also enjoy watching “chick flicks”, drama/suspense, and comedy. I detest horror movies.

FAMILY
I have two teenaged sons, 17 and 19. One is a high school grad that is working and trying to figure out what to do with his life and the other is a senior in high school.

HOBBIES
My favorite pastime is reading. I also enjoy outdoors activities like camping and fishing,

PETS
We have a ten-year-old Cocker Spaniel named Jake and a 13-year old Lhasa Apso named Mitzie.

BEST ADVISE
Enjoy life now; you never know when it will be taken from you – from my Father just before he died.
