EXPERIENCE
I have worked in the College of Business for 7 years. I first started in Center for International Education and Research in Accounting (CIERA), a part of the Department of Accountancy. I did numerous things in this office including MSA students, International Journal of Accounting, Visiting Scholars and Study Abroad. Two years ago, I moved over to the Undergraduate Affairs office working on Study Abroad issues 100%. It has been a nice move and change. I enjoy working with students more.

HOBBIES
I enjoy doing scrapbooks, taking all of my pictures and putting them in an album in a creative way (I am not real creative, but it is fun). I also enjoy cross-stitching, I have trouble finishing my projects (usually because they are way too big), but I love to do it, you just need to have patience.

BACKGROUND
I am from all over: St. Louis, MO; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Franklin, TN; and Charlotte, NC; then back to Mahomet, IL—I moved here when I was a senior in high school because my dad changed jobs. I met my husband here and I love my job so as of now we have decided not to move.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING WITH STUDENTS?
I enjoy working with students because they make the job interesting (they keep me on my toes). They all have different questions and require me to do many many things. I love to organize and figure out how to answer all of the questions I receive. I love learning new things and piecing things together like a puzzle. In my job I work with domestic and international students. I meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world.

WHAT MOVIES DO YOU LIKE?
My favorite movies are romantic, suspense & comedy. I probably enjoy romance & suspense the most. I don’t go to the movies a lot, but we tend to rent them and watch what we own.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
My favorite music is contemporary Christian music. One of my favorite bands is Third Day and my favorite artist is Steven Curtis Chapman.

One daughter, Hannah.

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN YOUR LIFE?
Treat others, as you would like to be treated.
