I have a background in both teaching and advising, and before coming to Illinois I worked for UCLA and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

HOBBIES
I love to read.

BACKGROUND
While I was born in Illinois, my family moved to England when I was seven and then to the Netherlands when I was eleven. I came back to the United States for college and have lived in Ohio, Wisconsin, California and Illinois.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING WITH STUDENTS?
Each student is unique so my job is never boring.

WHAT MOVIES DO YOU LIKE?
I like foreign films and romantic comedies.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
I'm partial to folk music.

FAMILY
I am married and have two sons, Naveed and Kian.
