Earlier
this month, almost 600 graduates of the College of Business
met in Chicago for the Spring Luncheon, an annual event
that honors outstanding teachers and significant alumni
who have brought credit to all of us.
I
was priviledged to invite the assembled alumni to another
event that will celebrate the quality of the programs and
the people of the College of Business. That event is the
groundbreaking
of the new College of Business Instructional Facility
on April 28 in Champaign. Before the groundbreaking cermony,
the College is hosting a panel discussion about the future
of higher education. We are pleased to have as our guests
U of I President B. Joseph White, former President Stanley
Ikenberry, and Urbana Chancellor Richard Herman.
If
your schedule permits you to join us, we hope you will be
a part of the celebration that marks the start of construction
of a building that will offer enhanced resources to our
students, better facilities to our recruiters, and a home
for many of the student services programs in the College.
Sincerely,
Avijit Ghosh
Dean
