The College of Business boasts a large and distinguished
group of alumni who, as this issue of the enewsletter demonstrates,
are an invaluable resource for our students. I am always
pleased to invite graduates back to campus to share their
experiences with current students.
And that invitation is particularly special when alumni
return to Champaign as part of graduation weekend. I hope
you will take a few moments to read the text of Matthew
Paull's speech to the Class of 2005. He spoke during convocation
about his friend and colleague Jim Cantalupo, himself a
1966 graduate of the College. Cantalupo's career and his
devotion to McDonald's Corp. are inspiring. And the lessons
Matt Paull gleans from his work with Cantalupo are important
and timely.
Alan Feldman's speech to our MBA graduates reminds us that
at work and at home, people make the difference in our lives.
His remarks, too, will inspire you.
As always, your input is welcome.
Sincerely,
Avijit Ghosh Dean
