This summer the College of Business community received
some great news. The University of Illinois Board of Trustees
approved construction of the new Business Instructional
Facility, which will be located on Sixth Street to the west
of Wohlers Hall. We expect to break ground in April 2006
and occupy the building by the fall of 2008.
This is a milestone in the history of the College. We demonstrated
to the campus and the University the commitment of our alumni
and friends, whose generosity was instrumental in the July
approval by the Board.
My thanks to all of you who have offered your support during
the early years of our campaign Investing
in Excellence. We have more to do and I urge you
to consider how you can continue to advance the excellence
of the College of Business.
