Delta Sigma Pi/KPMG Charity Golf Outing
by Sarah Small
This Saturday, students and faculty in the College of Business will gather on the University of Illinois Orange and Blue golf course to test their golf skills, network with professionals and raise money for charity.
The charity golf outing is being sponsored by the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and the professional accountancy firm KPMG. It will be held Saturday, September 25. All proceeds from the event will go to the Developmental Service Center to help renovate its educational facilities.
All members of the College are invited, and Delta Sigma Pi is putting specific emphasis on getting the other business fraternities to participate in the event.
Caitlin Noblitt, a sophomore in Marketing and public relations chair from Delta Sigma Pi, said the mission of the golf outing is threefold. The fraternity is working to raise money for the Developmental Service Center, network with KPMG professionals and build stronger relations with other business fraternities.
Participants will tee-off in the morning and play 18 holes before reconvening for a reception in the afternoon. The student cost to participate is $50 and the adult cost is $65. For more information, contact Delta Sigma Pi at email@example.com.
