PCAOB Scholarship Awarded to Accountancy Undergraduate Student

Maggie Mulchrone is the proud recipient of a 2011Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Scholarship.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 provides that funds generated from the collection of monetary penalties imposed by the PCAOB must be used to fund a merit scholarship program for students in accredited Accounting degree programs. The PCAOB Scholarship Program was created to identify eligible students for the scholarship program.

The Program goal is to provide a source of funding to encourage outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to pursue a career in auditing.

PCAOB Scholarship recipients are each awarded $10,000 to cover eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment for enrollment or attendance at an institution of higher education.
