Target Makes Awards to College

Mark Cuprinski, store team leader and University of Illinois campus recruiter, visited the College this month to make two awards.

Irene Hsu accepted a $1,500 dollar check from Target's Cuprinski on behalf of the Minority Business Students Association. Hsu, president of MBSA, noted that the group plans to use the funds to underwrite the cost of an etiquete banquet and to provide a scholarship to two MBSA members who display academic excellence and community service.

Cuprinski also awarded $3,000 to the Business Career Services Office for mock interview equipment and to support the "Career Leader" program that helps students in the career decision-making process. Accepting the check are (l. to r.) George Johnson, Corporate Program in the Development Office, and Lois Meerdink and Cynthia Faullin of the Business Career Services Office.
