2002
Dear
2002 Graduate:
Congratulations
on your graduation from the University of Illinois and the College of
Commerce and Business Administration. We are pleased to welcome you as
a new alum.
Email
account
You received this copy of CBA News through the university email
account (e.g., TracySmith@uiuc.edu) you used during your time on campus.
The university will deactivate this email account in a few months. We
urge you to let us know your new email (and physical!) address by updating
your record in the database of alumni maintained by the University
of Illnois Alumni Association. You need not be a member of the AA to change
your address, so please take a few moments to provide your new information.
Signing
up to receive CBA News
Consider signing up to receive CBA News, the monthly electronic
newsletter that is mailed to your email account on the last Friday of
each month. Follow
the simple steps and add your name to the list of alumni and friends
of the college who learn the latest news and events each month.
Alumni
Association Membership
As a recent graduate, you are a member of the University
of Illinois Alumni Association for several months at no cost. Consider
joining the AA
in order to receive information about the university, special events,
and targeted services. When you join the AA, you are automatically made
a member of the Commerce Alumni Association as well.
Big
Ten Challenge
As a new graduate you are eligible to participate in the Big
Ten GOLD Challenge this year -- an opportunity for graduates of the
last decade to make a gift to their college and help Illinois win this
year's Big Ten Challenge! More important than the dollar amount of your
gift is your participation. Show your loyalty to Illinois by making
a contribution today.
Career
Services
The staff in Business Career Services (BCS) congratulate you and send
best wishes. They appreciate the help from those of you who completed
the BCS Placement Survey. The status of your job search is important.
If you did not complete a survey, please notify BCS of your job
acceptance, graduate school plans, or current job search using the
online form. Your feedback helps staff advise employers about competitive
compensation packages, assists other students in determining their salary
expectations, and promotes college programs of study to prospective students.
Although
you have graduated, BCS will continue referring resumes through August
15th upon employers' requests. In addition, check the BCS
website for job search links, upcoming career fairs and other programs.
Again,
members of the college join me in wishing you success in your future endeavors
and asking you to stay in touch.
Sincerely,
Ginny
