Accounting professor quoted in Washington Post articles
Professor of Accounting Andrew Bailey was twice quoted by the Washington Post in mid-February articles about Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Harvey L. Pitt, whose leadership of the SEC has been under scrutiny since he assumed the helm in August 2001. Pitt is being watched closely because of his ties to the accounting and brokerage industries with which he worked prior to assuming the chairman position.
Bailey was interviewed by Post writer Jackie Spinner for a February 13 article and a February 14 article. He is Ernst and Young Professor of Accountancy and has been on the faculty since 1994.
