Commerce Alumni Association:
Programs for Alumni, Current Students, College Staff

The Commerce Alumni Association (CAA) wrapped up their December events this past weekend by hosting 100 alumni at the United Center for the Illinois - Temple basketball game. College alumni had nothing to complain about with the Illini 70 to 54 win over their Philadelphia opponent on December 14. Fifteenth-ranked Illinois held the Temple squad to its worst shooting game of the season.

Earlier in December, CAA provided cookies and drinks to students as a respite from end-of-the-semester pressures. Student attending classes or walking through Wohlers Hall helped themselves to refreshments in the student lounge on the north end of the building (right).

Service to the College community took the form of an informational presentation (left) on the new University of Illinois Alumni Association Online Directory, a powerful outreach tool for alumni, staff, current students, and friends. The directory can be searched for biographical and contact information about more than 50,000 alumni who completed a survey and indicated their willingness to share information about such topics as occupation, mentoring, and internship/externship opportunities. Alumni are encouraged to update their contact information by completing the online form.
