The College of Business at ILLINOIS and its Center for Professional Responsibility in Business and Society are honored, with sponsorship support from the Deloitte Foundation and BP, to support the ongoing collaboration between industry and academic leaders committed to preparing young professionals to lead with integrity in today’s workplace.
Our conference speakers include business leaders from Deloitte, BP, Walmart, and Lockheed-Martin, Professors Linda Trevino from Penn State and Mary Gentile from Babson College, Professors C.K. Gunsalus and Madhu Viswanathan from the University of Illinois, among others. We'll also screen a film developed at the University of Texas, and there will be plenty of time for discussion and networking.
In 2010, the inaugural Partners in Business Ethics Conference established a new business ethics collaboration between business and academic leaders. Eleven deans from the nation’s leading business schools met in New York City with corporate leaders at a symposium hosted by American Express and the Penn State Smeal College of Business to promote business ethics in academia and corporate America.
In 2011, the second conference was hosted by the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business along with AT&T and the Deloitte Foundation. Over 70 deans from across the country were invited, along with key industry leaders, to continue the conversation around the theme of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Now, we invite you to join us for the third chapter in this growing conference, centered on the theme: “Professional Responsibility in the Classroom: Business and Academics Teaching Each Other.”
We hope to see you there! Please RSVP by August 17, 2012. Visit go.business.illinois.edu/PBErsvp.
