VPN Setup Instructions

For complete VPN instructions please go to http://www.cites.illinois.edu/vpn. As a convenience we have made an automatic installation of VPN for PCs available.

Step 1. Click to download VPN zip file

Step 2. Navigate to where the zip file was downloaded and open it. Inside you will see "citesvpn.exe." Double click this and the following dialog box will appear. You want to click "Extract all."

Step 4. Double click the "citesvpn.exe" once more after it has been extracted. You will prompted with whether or not you want to run the file. Click "run."

Step 5. After that click "Yes" and the installation should complete itself.

Step 6. Now that it has been installed you should be seeing the following window. Simply type in your netID and password and hit connect (domain is left blank).

Step 7. If everything has gone well you should see this window which shows you your VPN connection is now functional.
