Our mission is to be a leader in educating the next generation of managers in better understanding financial research and risk management tools, and to provide a cutting-edge learning environment where students from the University of Illinois will be known as best equipped to enter the vast world of finance.
Our mission is translated into the following strategies:
- To roll out a learning system independent of but complimentary to the
curriculum that provides hands-on experience with financial software and
research platforms, so that students and faculty can best leverage these
tools for their work, including research, teaching and course projects.

To integrate software and research tools into the Finance curriculum in
order to better blend finance theory and practice.
- To build, maintain and strengthen relationships with the business and investment community and the campus community through activities of value to the Finance Department and its partners
