Groundbreaking!

The College of Business community came together on April 28 to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new $60+ million Business Instructional Facility that is expected to open in the fall of 2008.
The new building will blend with the classical elements of the campus and will include modern and sophisticated details. Exterior walls of brick and glass accented with limestone and metal complement Wohlers Hall immediately to the east.
With sustainable design elements and environmentally-friendly features, the structure will be the first "green" building on the Urbana campus.
Architect Cesar Pelli, former dean of the Yale School of Architecture and a distinguished alumnus of the University of Illinois, designed this "catalyst for learning" for the College of Business.
