Meet the President of the Executive MBA Alumni Association

Adkisson is founder and president of James Russell, Inc., a healthcare consulting company based in Bloomington, Illinois. Since 1983, this firm has been providing both physician and executive searches as well as a full range of consulting services that help clients compete successfully in the healthcare marketplace. These services include joint ventures, medical group formation, marketing and practice development, and long- and short-term planning.

A graduate of Illinois State University, with a degree in business administration, Adkisson had broad business experience before starting his own firm, including a stint as branch manager for Hewlett Packard. He was instrumental in founding the National Association of Physician Recruiters (president from 1985-86), was a charter member of the National Association of Executive Recruiters, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association of Health-care Consultants. He is also active in community affairs.
