Amy Weintraub, Finance Alumna
First Vice President, LaSalle Bank
Interests in finance and business in conjunction with persistence and dedication led Amy Weintraub to an internship in commercial lending. When Weintraub started with LaSalle Bank following her junior year of college, she did not anticipate that she was building the foundation for a career in international banking. Now, as first vice president for International Corporate Banking, Weintraub travels around the world and interacts with executives at many international corporations.
Her full-time career at LaSalle Bank began with a five-year stint in commercial lending, working with a variety of Chicago manufacturers, distributors and financial service companies. Building on this experience, Weintraub advanced to her current role in International Corporate Banking, with a concentration on international financing. She works with US companies with international subsidiaries, advising them on international financing structures and solutions. In the past two and a half years, Weintraub's business trips have included visits to Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
Weintraub has been a member of the Business Young Alumni Committee since graduation in 1999 and has served as the chair of the committee for the past three years.
