Rajib Doogar
Assistant Professor of Accountancy
Rajib Doogar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy. He earned his Ph.D. in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University. Rajib currently teaches a Masters-level course on financial reporting. He has taught both financial and managerial accounting in the Illinois undergraduate and MBA programs as well as a capstone course in Corporate Strategy. His research focuses on the application of economic theory to accounting and auditing institutions, rules and regulations with a particular focus on the functioning of audit markets and audit firms. He currently serves on the Research Committee of the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association. Rajib is certified as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Company Secretary in India, and founded the accounting firm of Doogar and Sethia, Chartered Accountants, Calcutta. He ranked first in the country in the Management Accountancy Examination administered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1983 and was ranked nationally in various professional examinations of the Insititute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
