Biographical Sketch

Srinivasan Kannan, Clinical Professor of Finance, earned his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, his LL.B. from Bangalore University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in finance from the University of Illinois. Before returning to the Illinois Department of Finance, he taught at Colorado State University, Texas A&M University, and the University of Wisconsin. Professor Kannan’s teaching interests are financial management, investments, and derivatives. In 2002 he won the IFC Excellence in Teaching Award, University of Illinois.
