Morgan James Lynge
Professor Emeritus of Finance
Emeritus Professor Morgan Lynge has been at the University of Illinois since 1974. He earned A.B. and MBA degrees from UIUC and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. From 1990-1995 Professor Lynge served as associate dean of the college for academic affairs. From 1995 until his retirement in 2002 he was the Chair of the Department of Finance. Professor Lynge teaches courses in money, credit and financial markets and the management of financial institutions. He has been honored with teaching awards for teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive development levels. His research focuses on the effects of risk on commercial banks and its implications for regulation.
