Daniel R. Sholem joined the Illinois faculty in 2004 as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Finance, where he teaches equipment finance and leasing. He is also principal since 2000 of D.R. Sholem and Company providing Equipment Finance Advisory Services for a variety of corporate and public sector clients. He earned a B.A. in political science from Southern Methodist University and holds an MBA from Saint Louis University.  He has over 17 year’s experience in the equipment finance industry where he has raised debt & equity to fund equipment transactions, structured & priced equipment leases, remarketed commercial & corporate aircraft and managed a $2 Billion portfolio of equipment on lease to global semiconductor manufacturers. Dan is a native of Champaign where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
