Academic Service

On the editorial board of Current Issues and Research in Advertising; Journal of Advertising; and The Journal of Business Leadership. President, Association for Consumer Research, 1976. President, Central Illinois Chapter, American Marketing Association, 1971-72. Board member of the Illinois Business Hall of Fame.

Teaching and Research

Teaches courses in marketing strategy, promotion management, and entrepreneurship. Research interests include the marketing of high technology and electronic commerce. Has been a consultant to firms in the hobby, high technology, banking, and retailing industries. Has served as an expert witness in the area of deception and consumer fraud.
