RSO of the Year formula
Review the following formula to determine how your RSO can best take advantage of Legacy's portion of the RSO of the Year calculations:
How do you calculate the winner?
The size of the organization is taken into context so huge organizations are on the same playing field as small one. We consider dollar amounts donated, size of the group, and percentage participation.
Points Donated
[(% of seniors who donate + % of member attendance*) x (amount members donate + amount organization donates)] / Total # of seniors in organization
The formula looks a bit complicated, but essentially, your percentage-weighted donations and attendance at LEGACY events are divided by the number of seniors in your organization to determine your points. *Please note the attendance portion is of all members regardless of their year in school. The organization with the most points at the end of the competition will win all of the above benefits!
What is the timeline for the competition?
Donations will be accepted and count towards the competition until May 11, 2012. As your members donate, we will automatically assign your organization points based on the list of seniors you have sent us – you don’t need to do any additional work.
