Legacy Committee Members

Sarah Brett is a senior majoring in Accountancy from Palos Heights, IL. This past summer she interned as Blackman Kallick as a tax intern and will be starting there full time post graduation. On campus, Sarah is actively involved in Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. She traveled to Turkey after freshman year with the Business Honors Program. For the past year and a half, Sarah has worked in the College of Business Development office. She also is a Business 101 section leader this year. Sarah is thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the 2011 Senior Legacy Campaign and give back to the college that has given her so much.

Special Events Committee Members
Amy Paprocki is a Senior majoring in Marketing in the College of Business. Last summer she interned at Discover Financial Services and will be returning there after graduation to work full-time in their marketing department. Amy studied abroad in Greece during her Junior year and is hoping to return to Europe some day. This year she is serving as the Vice President-Special Events for Legacy and she's very dedicated to helping the campaign reach its goal.

Michelle Erb is from O'Fallon, Illinois. She is a Senior in Accountancy in the College of Business at University of Illinois. She is an active member in Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity. She plans on staying at Illinois to get her MAS, then sitting for the CPA exam. Last summer she was an Internal Audit intern at John Deere, and this summer she will be a Tax intern at PwC in St. Louis.

Erin McClure is a senior from Naperville, Illinois majoring in Accountancy. Erin worked at Ernst & Young as an audit intern this past summer and will continue there full time in Fall 2011. On campus Erin is involved in Chi Omega as well as Business Council. She was chapter treasurer for Chi Omega for 2009 and gained a lot of valuable experience working with other executive board members on various projects. Erin is also a member of the Business Honors program and travelled to Turkey with the program for twelve days after her freshmen year. She also travelled to China for twelve days the summer after her junior year. Erin is thrilled to be involved with Senior Legacy and the opportunity to give back to the College that has given so much to her.

Anne Hoang is a senior in Accountancy from Peoria, Illinois.  In the spring semester of 2009, she studied abroad at Wirtschaftuniversitat Wien in Vienna, Austria.  Anne spent the past summer in Chicago to work up north in Waukegan at Cardinal Health as a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern.  On campus, she has served as a College of Business Ambassador, Internal Vice President of the Vietnamese Student Association, and the Public Relations Chair and Peer Advising Chair for Business Council. 

Andy Makuch is a Senior from Homer Glen, IL. He is majoring in Accountancy and plans to complete his masters. A member of several organizations on campus, he has recently served as treasurer of Zagloba Polish Club which holds over 300 members. He has worked 30 hours a week at a bank alongside school and his extracurriculars. Shifting over from a year on the Junior Legacy Committee, Andy is excited to watch Legacy grow and see the COB get involved.

Kassandra Hasty is a senior in Accountancy from Flossmoor, IL. During the spring semester of 2010, she studied abroad in Bilbao, Spain to complete a Spanish minor. This past summer, Kassandra interned at Grosvenor Capital Management in the Operational Due Diligence group.  On campus, Kassandra is an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants and works in the College of Business International Programs office.  Kassandra is very excited to be a part of the Senior Legacy Campaign to give back to the College of Business and help to raise funds for a gift that future students can use to help realize their full potential.

Jessica Garvey is a senior majoring in Accountancy from Glenview, IL.  On campus, she is actively involved in Business Council as a BC Families Coordinator and past Philanthropy Chair.  In addition, she is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.  This winter she will be participating in an audit internship with Deloitte and will be pursing her Master's of Accounting Science next year.  She is excited to be a part of Legacy and work towards a strong 2011 campaign that will give back to the College of Business!

Public Relations Committee Members

Caroline Yoe is a senior from Naperville, IL studying Finance and Marketing. This past summer, she interned with Protiviti in Chicago, and will be working as a full-time Process Consultant upon graduation.  On campus, Caroline is the President of the James Scholar Executive Committee, an active member of Delta Sigma Pi and a Section Leader for Business 101. She also works as a Site Consultant for the ICS labs.  Caroline is thrilled to be the VP of Public Relations for Legacy 2011, and is looking forward to leaving a lasting footprint in the College of Business. 

Brent Kerby is a senior in Accountancy from Washington, Illinois. On campus he is a member of the College of Business Honors Program, Business Council, and Theta Xi. By working on Legacy, Brent hopes to unite the College of Business and its many future endeavors. 

Chad Wherley is a senior studying Finance from Beardstown, Illinois.  On campus, Chad is an active member of Business Council where he has served as the Public Relations chairman and the College of Business Ambassadors chairman. He also serves on the university Career Services Council. He spent this past summer interning at Rockwell Collins and spent the previous summer studying abroad in Vienna, Austria.  Chad is very excited to be a part of the 2011 Legacy Campaign and hopes to see the entire Class of ’11 give back to the College.

Kara Burlinski is a senior majoring in Accountancy with minors in Spanish and Technology & Management from Inverness, IL. This past summer, she worked as an audit intern with Deloitte in Chicago and will begin working full time with Deloitte in Fall 2011. She was also able to travel to China with the Hoeft Technology & Management program this past May where she was able to learn more about the Chinese business world, as well as the Chinese culture and people. In addition to being part of the Senior Legacy campaign, Kara is a member of the Business Honors program, serves as a Business 101 section leader, and is a part of the Chi Omega sorority. She is looking forward to working with the rest of the Senior Legacy members to give back to the College of Business that has already given her so much.

Faculty and Education Committee Members

Kymberly Ruhmann is a senior from New Athens, IL studying Accountancy and minoring in Communication.  She has interned with a small manufacturing company near St. Louis in their Accounts Payable department, and this upcoming summer, she will be interning with Ernst & Young in tax.  She has participated in the Summer Leadership Programs for both Ernst & Young and KPMG, and for the last 3 tax seasons, she has prepared individual income tax returns with H&R Block.  On campus, Kymberly is the Chair of Volunteer Illini Projects for the last two years, as well as serving on the Board of Directors prior to that.  She has been involved in Fusion, and has tutored Accounting 201/202 for the last two years.  She has also served as the Illini Externship Coordinator.  Kymberly hopes to give back to the College of Business by promoting and raising awareness of the Legacy campaign so that the 2011 Senior class can leave their mark on campus.  

Patrick Quirke is a senior in Accountancy and Finance from Wilmette, Illinois. This past summer he had the opportunity to intern in the Audit and Transactions and Restructuring groups at KPMG. Patrick is an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity.  He is excited to participate in the Legacy Campaign and positively impact student, faculty, and alumni relationships with the College of Business.

Brian Donenberg is a senior from Orland Park and is majoring in Accountancy.  He is currently in the First Stage of the Bachelor/Master in Accounting Science Program.  He will receive his MAS degree in May 2012.  In addition to Legacy, he is a member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity and the James Scholar program.  Also, he works as an site-consultant for Instructional Computing Services.  Brian studied abroad in Brazil for two weeks and five weeks in Europe as part of the European Summer Study Program in the summer of 2010.  He is very excited to give back to the College of Business with the Legacy Campaign.

Shoaib Haroon is a senior at the University of Illinois studying Finance and Computer Science. He spent the past summer at FTI/Financial Dynamics working as an investor relations intern for the capital markets team. In Fall of 2009, Shoaib studied abroad in Rotterdam, Netherlands with students from all over the world. On campus, he is the Vice President of Membership for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, works as a Senior Fellow at the Market Information Lab, and is also a Business 101 Section Leader.  Shoaib hopes to help Legacy match and beat all of its previous successes over the past few years.  

Jordi Batlle is a senior from Evanston, Illinois.  He is studying supply chain management and marketing because he enjoys to "Get Things Moving" and "Create Value."  On campus, Jordi has played an active role in Alpha Kappa Psi, Alternative Spring Break, and APICS.  In the summer of 2009, he interned at Baxter Healthcare as a Global IT intern.  This past summer, he worked as a Customer Service & Logistics intern with Kraft Foods.  Additionally, he loves the Catalans of Spain.  He has been excited about Legacy since hearing Jawwad Akhtar speak for the campaign during the COB commencement in May 2009.  He looks forward to working with everyone to give back something new. 

Courtney Phillipp is a senior in Accountancy from Yorkville, IL. She plans to graduate in May 2011 and begin the University of Illinois’ Masters of Accounting Science program in the fall. Courtney is involved on campus with the Society of Women in Business, Sigma Alpha Lambda Honors fraternity, as well as Illini Basketball Association, the women’s club basketball team. She has also been a peer tutor in Business Calculus. She spent this past summer as an infrastructure lab intern for McDonald’s Corporation in Oak Brook, IL helping with financial analysis and budget planning. Courtney is excited to be a part of the Legacy Campaign and help contribute to a great class gift for the well deserved College of Business.

Gift Development Committee

David S. Olsen is a senior in the College of Business pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Management - International Business from Downers Grove, IL. David currently serves as Student Body President for the Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois. He also serves as Vice President for Programming for the Council of Presidents, a member of the UIUC Senate Executive Committee and the UIUC Senate Committee on Educational Policy, a member and former chair of Business Council, and a member of the Hoeft Technology & Management Program Class XV. Additionally, David recently completed a Compliance Internship at the Integrated Supply and Trading unit of BP. David is excited to join the Legacy campaign as Vice President for Gift Development to give back to the College that has allowed him so many opportunities.

Katrina Winogradzki is a senior studying Accounting from Park Ridge, Illinois.  Next semester she is looking forward to interning with Ernst & Young in their Audit group in Chicago, and then plans on pursuing the Masters degree in Accountancy next fall.  On campus, Katrina is on the executive board of Business Council, leads a Business 101 section, and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.  Last semester, she dedicated much of her time on the Council of Presidents Advisory Board planning and facilitating the 2nd Annual Hustle for Humanity 5K.  Katrina is excited to be part of the gift development process and can't wait to leave her legacy at the University of Illinois College of Business.

Elizabeth Hillman is a senior Accountancy major from Flanagan, Illinois.  On campus,  she is an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity.  She am looking forward to her summer 2011 tax internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers.  In addition, she am very excited to give back to the College of Business through the Senior Legacy Campaign.

Ashley Pennell is a senior in Accountancy from Jacksonville, Illinois.  On campus, Ashley is a member of Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity which she is currently the Vice President of Membership.  She is also on the Illinois Women's Lacrosse club team.  This past summer she had an internship with Sikich in Springfield, Illinois performing state audits. She is excited to be a part of the 2011 Legacy Campaign and hopes to see the Class of '11 give back to the College of Business.

Dylan Stark is a senior in Finance from Marengo, IL. This past summer, he was an intern at Sears Holdings Corporation and will be starting there in merchandising post graduation. On campus, Dylan is actively involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and works for the University Office of the Provost. He is excited to be part of the 2011 Senior Legacy campaign and can’t wait to help give back to the College of Business.

Ashley Harrison is from Frankfort, Illinois.  She is currently a Senior majoring in Accounting.  She was in Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and is involved in Business Council on campus.  

Katelyn Evans is a senior in accountancy with plans to graduate in May. She plans to return for the 5th year master's program in accountancy next fall. Currently, she is involved with Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity serving as Vice President Internal. She is from Carrollton IL and is a huge St. Louis Cardinals' fan.

Business Honors Committee Members

Brittany Metz is a senior in Accountancy from Mundelein, IL. Brittany spent the Spring 2010 semester studying in Dublin, Ireland,  at the Quinn School of Business. Upon returning, she was a summer intern at Zurich Financial Services in their Planning & Performance Management Division. On campus Brittany is involved in various business organizations including Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity and Business Council, as well as being a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Brittany is excited to be a part of the Legacy Campaign to give back to the College of Business, which has been a great home for the last three years. 

Henry Soong is a senior in Finance and English from Schaumburg, Illinois. On campus, he is Executive Partner of OTCR Consulting, the University's leading student-run management consulting firm and is a former columnist for The Daily Illini. He's spent a summer studying in Cambridge, England and a semester living abroad in Shanghai, China. This past summer, Henry worked at Deloitte Consulting as a technology consultant. He's excited to be a part of Senior Legacy and give back to the College of Business.

Juniors

Trisha Phadke is from Schaumburg, Illinois. She is a junior in the College of Business majoring in Accountancy and Finance. She is heavily involved with Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity and will be interning with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Summer 2011.

Patrick O’Malley is a Junior studying accounting from Tinley Park, IL. On Campus, he is active in Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and is a member of the Orange Krush Foundation.  This past summer, Pat was a Corporate Finance Intern at the CME group.  He is excited to be a part of the Legacy Campaign!

Andrea Pavone is a junior from Burr Ridge, Illinois majoring in Accountancy and minoring in Spanish. On campus, she is actively involved in Business Council and Undergraduate Business Media. She also is a Learn-to-Skate instructor for classes at the ice arena. Last summer, she worked as an intern at Aurora Investment Management LLC in Chicago. She is one of three juniors on Legacy this year and looks forward to working with Legacy next year as well.
