The Campaign for Business Education at Illinois

A long and enduring history of educational innovations, a history of attracting a remarkably talented and diverse set of faculty, students, and staff, and a legacy of commitment and support from its alumni and friends have built a foundation of excellence for the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Since its founding in 1915, the College has been the home to world-renowned researchers and educators and is the alma mater of many distinguished leaders in business and public service. It attracts some of the best students from the state of Illinois, the nation, and the world and is ranked among the top programs in the country.

The College's past achievements give Illinois much to be proud of and to celebrate. Yet we must continue to be innovative and to further enhance our preeminence in the world of business education. To fulfill our ambitions, we have directed our energies towards five major goals:

	aggressively recruiting the very best students, faculty, and staff
	advancing the frontiers of knowledge to meet the needs of today's ever-changing business world
	enriching our academic programs to better prepare our students
	remaining flexible and able to take advantage of new opportunities quickly
	improving our physical and technological infrastructure

To help us achieve these goals, we have launched an ambitious $75 million fundraising campaign - Investing in Excellence: The Campaign for Business Education at Illinois. The campaign seeks to construct a new instructional building and to double our endowment for named chairs, programmatic initiatives, research support, and student scholarships and fellowships. It also seeks to augment our unrestricted Annual Fund that allows us to invest in important new areas and to respond to new opportunities quickly. Investing in Excellence will make it possible for the College to remain in the forefront of business colleges nationwide and around the globe.

By joining with us in this endeavor, alumni and friends of the College will help ensure that future generations of students continue to have access to the high-quality business education that has been the hallmark of this institution. To our friends and supporters we commit our unstinting diligence and energy, and we pledge to uphold the highest standards of performance and fiduciary responsibility to maximize the returns from the resources invested in the College.
