PRESIDENT'S LETTER

ryanK

My name is Ryan Kernats, and I am the President of Delta Sigma Pi. Before being elected President, I served as the fraternity’s Vice President of Internal Affairs, our Collegiate Affairs committee chair, and the Athletic committee chair. I am a junior studying accounting, and will be staying a fifth year to receive my Masters degree. I rushed Delta Sigma Pi in the fall of 2009, and it was one of the best  decisions I have ever made.

For those pursuing a career in business, Delta Sigma Pi is America’s foremost fraternity for men and women. Our chapter prides itself on its commitment to brotherhood, community service, and professional development.  In my experience, the bond that each brother shares with one another in our chapter is unparalleled.

Becoming a part of our brotherhood is an experience that can define your college career. Additionally, Delta Sigma Pi takes on an active role in the Champaign-Urbana community. Our chapter regularly participates in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Red Cross Blood Drive, and the Developmental Services Center Tree of Hope. This coming semester, we plan to coordinate activities with Carle Hospital and Carrie Busey Elementary School as well.

FAQs

One of the missions of Delta Sigma Pi is to foster the study of business in universities. At the University of Illinois chapter, you will become a member of an exceptionally successful network of brothers and alumni. In addition, our chapter shares a strong relationship with the University of Illinois College of Business. This affiliation allows each member the opportunity to develop and maintain closer personal relationships within the college. Currently, our chapter has three faculty initiates: Dean John Hedeman, Dean Victor Mullins, and Professor Kevin Jackson.

Delta Sigma Pi is an organization that will help you with every step of your professional development. You will learn how to craft you resume, excel in your interview, and land the internship. You will join an incredible network of brothers who want nothing more to see you succeed. And along the way, you will have a more fulfilling college experience than you could’ve ever imagined. If you would like to learn more, please join us for our Spring 2012 rush. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at kernats1@illinois.edu.
