Tickets are required for ceremony. Tickets can be picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday in 218 WH now through December 19th. There will be no ticket limit per student. Guests needing special seating accommodations will be provided assistance at the event.
Cap & Gown Pickup
Cap and gown distribution is December 17 & 18 (Wednesday and Thursday) from 10am-3pm, Author’s Corner, Illini Union Bookstore.
Students must pay when picking them up - cash or check only.
Graduating Seniors
Is your Name on the Degree List?
If you are planning on graduating in December, you must add your name to the degree list by Monday, November 3rd, 2008. To add your name, go to Undergraduate Affairs in 1055 BIF to fill out the necessary form.
Your name must be added to the degree list to guarantee that your name will be printed in the convocation program; there are no guarantees that your name will be in the program if you add your name to the degree list after November 3rd. Also note that if you have suppressed your information due to confidentiality/FERPA, your name will not appear in the program.
Invitations
December graduates and their families will receive printed invitations to the ceremony in mid-November if they have placed themselves on the December graduation list. Graduates need to be sure that their addresses are current and correct in UI Integrate by November 3rd.
Academic Attire – Student
Students participating in the College of Business ceremony on December 20th are required to wear academic attire, which consists of a blue gown and mortarboard, and, if applicable, a hood (masters and doctors).
Regalia can be ordered online at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation. All orders must be placed by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, November 26th. There is a $20 late fee for orders placed after November 26th. If you would like help with measurements, on-campus measurements will take place between 10 am-3 pm on Wednesday, November 19th in the Author’s Corner of the Illini Union Bookstore.
Diploma Information
Diplomas are mailed to the "diploma" address that you have entered in UI-Integrate Self-Service (https://apps.uillinois.edu/selfservice/). Please review your "diploma" address and update. For more information on diplomas, refer to the Office of Admissions and Record website: www.oar.uiuc.edu/current/graduation/diplomas.html.
Dates to remember:
- November 3rd: Undergraduates must add names to degree list in 1055 BIF
- November 3rd: Graduates must verify their addresses are correct in UI Integrate
- November 19th: On-campus cap and gown measurements; 10-3; Illini Union Bookstore
- November 26th: Cap and Gown orders must be placed online
- December 20th: Convocation; 10 am
