The Academy would like to congratulate William Hammack, one of AEL Faculty Fellows, on his distinction as an American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow.  Professor Hammack was honored for his efforts to advance science and creative engineering through his over 300 American Public Media’s Marketplace commentaries and government service at the State Department.  William was also recently named a 2008 Fellow of the American Physical Society for his efforts to enhance engineering awareness in the context of everyday life.
