Introduction to Crop Science and Agri-Business Management

This course includes an entrepreneurial curriculum within a sustainable agriculture context.  The integrated entrepreneurial components will be enhanced by experiential learning on a sustainable farm that is being developed near Parkland’s campus.  This project will infuse both business and social entrepreneurship as it explores emerging sustainable agriculture business models, as well as expose students to a new agricultural paradigm beyond the familiar large-scale commodity based farming practices.
