Jeffrey Margolis |
In 1997, Jeffrey Margolis founded the TriZetto® Group, Inc. and currently serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President. Focused exclusively on healthcare, TriZetto offers a broad portfolio of healthcare IT products and services that can be delivered individually or combined to create a comprehensive solution. TriZetto provides proprietary and third-party software on a licensed or hosted basis, e-business applications, consulting services, and business services. Margolis graduated in 1984 with high honors from the College of Commerce and Business Administration. He was the first graduates to take advantage of the Department of Business Administration’s concentration in management information systems. In addition to completing his degree in three years, Margolis acquired enough accounting credits to sit for the CPA exam, which he passed at age 20. Following graduation, Margolis joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in Denver, taking advantage of an opportunity to apply his knowledge across a range of disciplines, from mining to health care. The latter piqued his interest and, in 1989, he moved to Comprecare, a Colorado health plan. A series of health industry mergers and acquisitions provided him with a range of management experience, including positions as VP and CIO of a 700,000 member health plan and then as Senior VP and CIO of a 2 million-member healthcare company. TriZetto went public 30 months after its founding in 1997. From revenue of $3 million in 1197, TriZetto anticipates reaching revenues of $260-275 million in 2002. Read more:
