Anthony DiTommaso, president and chief executive officer of Innerpac, Inc., founded his company in 1986. Innerpac, Inc. is a nationally recognized interior packaging manufacturer that produces chipboard and corrugated assembled box partitions, pads, and die cut specialties. From humble beginnings in a leased 18,000 square foot facility with five employees, Innerpac has grown to employ more than 550 people and occupy 225, 000 square feet. Annual revenues were $40 million in 2000. DiTommaso has two degrees in Finance from Illinois (BS ’74, MS ’76). While a staff auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in Chicago, he passed the CPA exam. In 1980 DiTommaso joined a family-owned partition business as secretary/treasurer. When the company was sold in 1982 to Sonoco Products, Inc., he served as general manager for four years before founding Innerpac, Inc. Innerpac includes facilities in Cicero, El Paso, and Keene, NH. A fourth location in Spartanburg, SC, is planned for 2002. Sales offices are in 13 cities across the country. Acquisition of three other companies expanded facilities, staff, and services. The company was recapitalized in 1999 with National City Equity Partners and Heller Financial Inc. The staff’s commitment to product quality, superior value, and timely service for the custom-designed and manufactured partitions is highlighted on the innerpac.com website. Active in his community, he has served on the Cicero Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the West Area Pony League. He is a member of the Commerce Business Advisory Council and the Young Presidents’ Organization. Read more:
