Robert A. Morgan Family Scholarships
Robert A. Morgan (B.A. Accountancy) served as controller of Caterpillar Tractor Company from 1956-1978 and as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 1978-1983. A graduate of Decatur High School, he earned a B.A. in Accounting at the University of Illinois. He was a contributing author for accounting periodicals, frequently writing about ethical practice. After his retirement, Mr. Morgan taught an ethics seminar at Illinois State University. In 2004, the Caterpillar Controller's Council honored him for his life-long contributions toward financial and accounting integrity.
