Jeffery Sean Dockins Memorial/Baxter Healthcare Corporation Scholarship
The Jeffery Sean Dockins Memorial/Baxter Healthcare Corporation Scholarship is given in memory of Jeffery Dockins, a 1992 University of Illinois graduate. Mr. Dockins grew up in Evanston, Illinois where he enjoyed many sports such as tennis, softball, swimming, karate and basketball. At age 10, he joined the Boy Scouts where his leadership and salesperson skills became evident. In high school, Jeff was a member of the Honor Society and also on the track team. While at the University of Illinois he served as Illini Guide Campus Chairperson, Residence Hall Council Member and Tutor at the Office of Minority Student Affairs. He belonged to Alpha Sigma Phi and Phi Gamma Nu fraternities. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Finance in May 1992. After graduation and a month of travel, he began his career at Baxter Healthcare. His achievements include receiving the Baxter Finance Leadership Award and CFO Recognition Awards. In his personal life, Jeff served his community through his work on the board of the National Association of Black Accountants and through various committees at St. Nicholas Parish in Evanston.
