GRADUATE CONCENTRATION IN TAXATION
Tax professionals not only guide clients in complying with the profusion of tax laws, rules and regulations, they also advise clients about the most intelligent and effective ways to reduce taxes.
The graduate concentration in taxation provides students with sufficient knowledge and skills to begin a career in taxation. After entering a taxation career, there are opportunities to specialize in a variety of tax fields, including federal tax, state and local tax, international tax, compensation and benefits consulting, and investment banking.
Taxation concentration application:
Application deadline – February 1 for fall semester (only) admission
Prerequisite for the concentration:
Admission to the concentration requires concurrent admission to the Master of Accounting Science program and completion of ACCY 312 (or equivalent)
Concentration course requirements:
ACCY 551 Corporate Income Taxation, 4 credit hours
ACCY 552 Partnership Income Taxation, 4 credit hours
ACCY 556 Tax Research, 4 credit hours
