Coursework Recommended for the CPA Exam

CPA Requirements by State can be found on the NASBA website at nasba.org/nasbaweb/NASBAWeb.nsf/WPECUSM The AICPA recommends that, “because so many factors determine whether a state/jurisdiction is considered one- or two-tier, it is recommended that you contact your state board for interpretation."

Recommended Coursework for University of Illinois students

I. Financial Accounting and Reporting The course work that relates to Parts I and II of the CPA exam is integrated in ACCY 301, 302, 303, 304, 410 or 510, and 312

II. Taxation (60%), Government and Not-for-Profit Accounting (30%) and Managerial Accounting (10%)

Governmental and not-for-profit accounting are covered in the campus CPA Preparation course
